Forest Dutton is the owner of Brightworks Financial Planning, LLC, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner.
I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina but now call Lexington home. Before Brightworks I worked for a large insurance company and entered financial services after many years as a physical therapist. My time in the insurance world quickly helped me realize that not all financial advisors are created equal and I wanted to operate in the independent space without an emphasis on product sales. I’m a lifelong student and focused on building enduring relationships with my clients and positioning them for success.
I earned my MBA from The University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business with a certificate in business analytics and I also hold a Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) from the University of Georgia.
I am married to Amanda, and we have been blessed with four children that keep us on our toes. My family and I are active members of Columbia Presbyterian Church, and outside the office I enjoy running, reading, golf, traveling with the family, staying active, and enjoying time outdoors.
